dear history channel,

please get your facts straight,

when you say that books were taken out of the Bible at the council of Nicaea you are incorrect in two ways, and embarrassingly so. It’s not like you call yourself the history cha… oh wait.

#1 by Council of Nicaea you clearly mean Council of Trent, oops.
#2 Books were in fact not taken out of the Bible in what was meant to be cited as council of Trent.  Canon was only solidified because of the ridiculous claims of Arius in Arianism, before this it was not necessary because it was just understood. In other words if someone told you Iceland didn’t exist, prior to that you would just believe it exists. It would be silly to think otherwise. Now if someone came to you and said, “Iceland is actually a planet in outer space that their natives visit the first equinox of every third century,” you would say, wait a minute– that is ridiculous, here is the proof is it is an island and not a planet. I would note Arianism was philosophically, traditionally and logically flawed. Anyway this is why the council of Trent was even called in the first place, not to take books out of the Bible, that never happened.

get your facts from the people that actually compiled the Bible. Would you go to Al Gore to read theories on quantum physics written by Steven Hawking? I think not, it wouldn’t make much sense.

doesn’t anyone audit these things? really?? common guys… I don’t even have a history degree…PHD’s say whaaaaa? someone needs to retract those. No wonder people are so confused these days, they are being fed completely shady facts. very frustrating.

yeah I’ve noticed a few really weird things they say once in a while too. They are very bias on a lot of their content. I think it mostly has to do with giving people what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. yay for subjectivity.
